Homework Religion Grade 7A:


3-16-20: The new assignment for 7A Religion will be posted on Google classroom early Tuesday morning(3-17-20).

 





2-18-20:  The students will be getting their Ch 7 Test back (2-18), please take a look at them  and SIGN THEM so they can receive an extra credit point.  Please return them to school to be collected Wednesday 2-19.

2-6-20:  Today we worked on our letters to the Seminarians.  The students were asked to finish them at home and turn them in on Monday the 10th of February.   Just in case you didn't write their names down, here they are:   Scott (Kady) / Peter (Rubeling) / James( Bors)

2-4-20:  We will be beginning Chapter 7 starting Tuesday (today) We will be ready for the Chapter 7 TEST by Wednesday or Thursday of next week, I will let the class know as we get closer to the test date. 

1-27-20:  Our exercise on Holy Places will not be due Tuesday due to our Catholic Schools Week schedule.  Project will be due on Wednesday 1-29-20

1-24-20:  Exercise:  Holy Places; An in-class Chromebook Slide project 1—22-20:    We watched a video titled: The Difference Between a Church, a Cathedral & a Basilica (9:50).                                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFRp1i93dpA                                                                             The students took notes and we briefly discussed what the differences were. They also address and defined what a Chapel is as well. I then introduced the project:                                                                                                                                                                                                                       1.)  Each student would spend class time looking at Catholic Churches, Chapels, Cathedrals and Basilicas around the world and pick one of each.                 2.)  On a Google slide page, the student is to post their favorite Catholic Church, Chapel, Cathedral and Basilica (one quarter of the page for each picture).                                                                                                                                                                                                                       3.)  On a separate piece of paper, identify the following information for each structure:                                                                                                                 A.) What is the name of the C,C,C &B.                                                                                                                                                                               B.) What City, Country is it in?                                                                                                                                                                                           C.) What Diocese/Archdiocese is it in?                                                                                                                                                                               D.) When was it built/How old is it?                                                                                                                                                                                   E.) Any other interesting points/comments.  Like why you picked the structure?                                                                                                    4.)  Project Due:  Tuesday 1-28-20  end of class.

1-23-20:  Before we began our search on the Chromebooks, I shared a sample of the project and what their project should look like.  The students were asked to talk to their parents and ask them if they have favorite churches and why they are special to them.  Hopefully they will get some more good ideas.

1-27-20:  We will watch a short second video:  14 Most Beautiful Catholic Cathedrals, (8:29)                                                                                           We will then continue our search on the Chromebooks. Some students may finish project Monday.


1-28-20:  Project due at the end of class.

 

12-2-19: This week, our focus will be outside our text.  Monday and Wednesday we will be watching videos on Vocations. Tuesday we will be focusing on the Rosary. Friday as always we will have a visit from Fr. Larry.  There will not be any reading assignments this week.

11-25-19:  From our Discussion in class today and reading Matthew 13,24-52. write a response on a clean sheet of paper about the TWO parables that you liked best and why?  If you need a refresher on what we read, they can be found on page 90 in your text as mentioned at the end of class today.  THIS IS DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS TUESDAY, 11-26-19.

11-11-19:  Go over your Review sheets (p75-76) and be ready for our Test on Chapter 4, Tuesday, 11-12.You can have ONE page of notes for the TEST.

10-30-19:  Use your review sheet from your text (pg.63-64) which we completed in class to study for our test tomorrow, Thursday in class. 

10-28-19:  All Saints Day Exercise.  This assignment will be DUE Monday, November 4th at the beginning of class.  25 Points

1.) Pick a Saint of your choice to research.

2.) Print a copy of your Saint on a sheet of 8X11 sheet of paper.

3.)  Write TWO paragraphs about the Saint  Please type. Should be on one 8X11 sheet of paper.

           Paragraph I: A background paragraph to include when he/she lived, where he/she lived and/or served their ministry and were they martyred.

           Paragraph II:  A paragraph explaining why you found this Saint to be worthy of your selection.

              *** You CANNOT use "Wikipedia" for your research.

                   Suggested site: Catholic Encyclopedia

              *** Your paper MUST be  in Times New Roman font and the CPI can be 12 to 14.

10-18-19:  Reminder, please study for Test on chapter 2 this coming Monday, October 21.  You may use a page of notes font and back if you wish.  There will be an additional  EXTRA CREDIT opportunity based on class discussion!  Please come Monday prepared to be successful!

10-16-19:  Test Chapter 2. (Wednesday) This date was changed in class Tuesday to Monday, October  21 due to testing

10-14-19:  Please go over ch 2 if you have not done so. We will be reviewing for the Test in class tomorrow (Tuesday).

Homework for 10/4:  Remember to review for the Test Monday.  The test will cover what we have been discussing/reviewing in class during the last two days of class. My students were told to focus on the chapter review on page 39-40. There will be 10 Multiple choice questions about 10 matching and a broad question about the two Gospel stories covering the Birth of Christ (Luke & Matthew). The Gospel question will be in the form of a Short Answer.
